THIS POSITION IS HYBRID, WHICH MEANS THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL NEED TO LIVE IN THE BAY AREA AND WORK ONSITE TWO TO THREE DAYS PER WEEK. SOS MEALS ON WHEELS OFFICE LOCATION IS IN SAN LEANDRO, CA.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Development Director will play a crucial role in securing the necessary resources to support the mission of SOS Meals on Wheels to provide nutritious meals and compassionate services to homebound seniors in our community, and to achieve the vision set by the recently developed Strategic Plan.
The Director of Development will be responsible for leading and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, forging key partnerships, and cultivating a network of supporters to drive sustainable growth and impact, and guiding the Volunteer department’s work in recruiting and utilizing volunteers. This role requires a fearless strategic thinker with exceptional relationship-building skills, and a demonstrated track record of successful fundraising.

YOU ARE A/AN:
Independent and inspirational fundraiser who is excited by the opportunity to diversify the funding streams of SOS Meals on Wheels
Curious and entrepreneurial, you bring to the table excellent experience in raising annual fund gifts, major gifts, and have experience in planned giving
Strong cultivator of relationships who is warm, inviting, and comfortable working with older adults who may be facing poverty
Collaborative and heart-centered, you delight in serving as a mentor, coach, and guide for a growing team and engaged board
SALARY/BENEFITS
Salary range for this role is: $120,000-$130,000
